About a decade ago, my Carol Williams Valor - the one who was featured in the Rio Rondo banner for years - was damaged on his way home from a live show.
When I stopped having a heart attack, I emailed Rio Rondo and asked if he could be repaired. Gary wrote back almost immediately.
"You're in luck," he said. "Carol is in the paint. Send him this way!"
I did, and within a month, Validator was back with me, literally as good as new.
This story has nothing to do with today's post, except for the phrase, "in the paint." I've always loved that.
Right now, I am definitely in the paint.
I hadn't painted anything since NaMoPaiMo, so I used Indie Parks' Tripod medallion as a warm-up piece.
That was a good choice. I've really enjoyed painting something a little lot less serious.
Speaking of medallions, I finally started my 2019 Jennifer Show portraits of Myr and Santana. They still have a long way to go, but I'm pleased with how they're turning out so far.
Finally, I've been putting the finishing touches on the half finished Herden cow I discovered in my stash earlier this month.
It's been a long time since I've been in the paint. This has been really fun. I hope it lasts.

Oh that calf is a cutie 😊
ReplyDeleteI love that phrase too and want to steal it. In the paint, in the tack, in the write, in the draw, in the ink...
