Farewell Bowie

Last May, Karen bought an Azteca gelding named Bowie.

This was about a month after Kaffi's meltdown. She really wanted him to work out, but she didn't know if he would. From the start, Bowie was basically Plan B.

I immediately started making jokes about this being the new summer season of The Bachelor: Gelding Edition.

Tune in this fall to see who gets the rose.

The answer is Kaffi. 

Truthfully, it was always going to be Kaffi.

Which is not to say that Bowie is not deserving.

He is an absolutely fabulous little horse.

I really enjoyed getting to know him this summer.

He was a bright spot during so many hard times,

and I loved viewing the world through his cute ears.

I will be forever grateful for our time together.

That said, Karen and I both feel like a horse this sweet truly deserves his own person, someone who loves him most and has the time to devote to him.

He got that today.

Farewell, Bowie. You are the best boy, and I am so glad you're finally getting your rose!
