Island postscript

There may not be a lot of equine vet care available on Roanoke Island, but there are certain, um, other services. While waiting in line at a local sandwich shop I checked out the community bulletin board.

Mostly, it was the same kind of stuff you see everywhere.

I was not expecting this!

But maybe I should have. The Outer Banks are home to an amazing horse community.

I had such an amazing time riding with Rachel and her friends. Despite everything, I am so glad we made that happen.
