Short and sweet

My best friend, Carol, spent most of this week in Colorado. Usually that means, she spent most of the week with me, but not this time. She came for a funeral, and her time has been spent family. Aside from a quick dinner after work on Thursday, we haven't seen each other at all...

At least not until today!

This morning, instead of having her nephew drive her to the airport, she asked him to take her to the barn. She arrived just as Karen and I were coming back from our ride.

I should have taken some of her as well, but time was short, and we were all in a hurry to get to our favorite post-ride restaurant.

After our meal, I took Carol to the airport. It was a short visit, but a very good one. Next time, maybe I'll be the one visiting her.
