Muck it!

Life is really busy and stressful right now. I don't have time for model horses or art projects

But also, life is really busy and stressful right now. I need something to keep my mind and hands busy, during my rare free moments.

So, uh, muck tub anyone?

Earlier this year, I bought this cute 3D printed muck tub with poop inserts from Amanda Povraznik's Etsy shop
The set comes in plain grey resin.
The print quality was good, so prepping was minimal. I filled a few imperfections, sanded some lines, primed, painted, sealed and finally, aged with pastels. The poop pucks were painted with a mixture of acrylics and pastels, covered in Mod Podge, then scattered with fine bits of shavings which were harvested from the corners of Olive's stall. Here's the high fill...
and the low fill.
Of course, every muck tub needs a manure fork to go with it. I found a green one in my stash. I aged it with pastels, and then decided to go one step further...
Perfection!
After a week of picking at this in my spare time, I think I can call it finished.
That was a really nice, small project. Next up: Capybaras!
