Getting Seth's parents to Colorado has been so ridiculously complicated, I've spent most of the last week expecting someone to call it off. Somehow, that hasn't happened. The move is still on, and we've made steady progress preparing their new home.
Seth and Piper have walked these halls so many times, some of the residents are already greeting them by name.
It's a very warm and welcoming place, and check out this wall art!Last night's challenge was building the Ikea bed.
Ikea bookshelves are so easy to assemble, Piper could almost do it herself.
The same can not be said for Ikea beds.
So many steps.
So many awkward positions.
Thank goodness, Piper was there to help.
We couldn't have done it without her.
Today, I dropped Seth off at the airport.
He will be driving his parents' possession packed minivan and parrot back to Colorado in advance of their Wednesday arrival.
As for me, I am taking the next couple days off of in-law duty. After all, I have a trip to prepare for!

Piper might or might not work as bedding... :)
ReplyDeleteTaking a break (I call it respite if you're caring for loved ones) is so important. This may sound like advice too early in the game, but trust me! And enjoy your trip!
