The first couple days of the International Model Horse Painting Party felt almost exactly like NaMoPaiMo. I didn't go to work, and other than my regular morning pony visit, most of my day was devoted to running the event, writing blog posts about the event and painting my models. It was totally NaMoPaiMo.
And then, it wasn't.
Yesterday, I went back to work. My best friend, Carol, stayed here overnight, having flown back to Colorado to say goodbye to an old family friend, who died while she was there. Seth got sick and is still sick. Basically, life got really complicated really quickly, and I have done absolutely nothing Painting Party or painting related in almost thirty six hours.
And you know what? That's okay. This is not NaMoPaiMo. It's the International Model Horse Painting Party. It's a no rules, you do you kind of month, and if I have to take some time off, I can.
Thank you so much to everyone who has supported the new format. I loved NaMoPaiMo with all my heart, but it was not sustainable.

Hear, hear! Long live the international painting party! I'm so sorry for Carol and her family, that must have been really hard for her. I hope Seth feels better soon! AC
