Hanging with Olive

Olive won't be delivered to her new home until next Monday. In the meantime, I've been driving up to Brighton on my days off to spend time with her and bond.

Mostly this amounts to feeding her and grooming her.
I was told that she's been hard to catch in the past, but right now she's living alone and is clearly lonely. Every day she meets me at the fence.
When I'm in her pen, she wants to be with me.
When I'm out of her pen, she still wants to be with me. Such a sweet girl!
My horse buying budget isn't very big so I always knew I'd have to make some serious compromises. The only thing that wasn't negotiable was a really good temperament. Olive's is perfect. I can not wait to get her home. Can it be Monday yet?

  1. Congratulations! I just bought my first horse, and he's at training for three months so I am just grooming and hanging out, too. It's very exciting!

  2. Olive looks so sweet and friendly! That sort of behavior is definitely my main requirement, whenever I am able to consider buying a new horse. :)

  3. Aww, that's so wonderful. I remember counting the days (hours?). hehe!

  4. So wonderful! Love that you found each other.

  5. When I first saw her back in your post about visiting your friend, I said to myself, Olive belongs with Jennifer. You could see it in her eyes, and in the way she was looking at Piper. So glad she is yours.

  6. I'm so happy for you! Can't wait to see how Olive progresses!
