2026 started in the best realistically possible way with a negative Covid test.

I messaged the happy news to Karen, and told her, "The party's back on!"

After all, January 1 is the universal mustang birthday. Sage is five.

Olive wouldn't ever wear the hat, but Sage is the Queen of Costumes. She didn't mind at all.

Neither did Kaffi,

or Piper.

Because I am still a little puny, party festivities where limited to photos...

children, behave!...

and snacks.

There were drinks for the humans. I only had a little sip.

I feel so much better than I did, and it was really nice to be back at the barn. 

That said, I ran out of energy pretty quickly.

Still, this was a really good way to start the New Year.
