I'm a member of an American Eskimo group on Facebook, and one of the first posts I saw this morning proclaimed, "Happy American Eskimo Day!"
That sounded like a made up thing, so I did a little Google research, and sure enough, it's real.Well, more or less.
To celebrate, I decided to take Piper to the barn with me.
She helped me clean Sage's stall...and take her to turnout.
"It's behind me, isn't it?"
Then I decided I wanted to take a picture of them together.
This was harder than expected.Piper has a really good stay, but not when a horse is looking at her.
"Sorry, Mom. I'm outta here!"
Best we could do.
As a reward for her mostly good behavior, Piper got some of Sage's carrot slices.
Chomp!I'm still not convinced this is a real holiday, but today was fun.
We'll probably celebrate it again next year.

Wolfenoot is a made up holiday, but already old enough to have caught on. You never know.
