The last few days of NaMoPaiMo are complete and utter chaos, but in the end a whole lot of people painted a whole lot of little horses.
This year's official number is four hundred twenty seven.
That's a fifty nine percent completion rate, which is exactly the same as last year.
The completion rate for the American painters was fifty eight percent. Of all the countries with at least twenty registered painters, Germany the most successful, with twenty two of thirty seven participants making it across the finish line.
In regards to age, our youngest and oldest participants were the most productive, with eighty percent of the under twelve crowd and sixty one percent of the over forty gang finishing their models. It's worth noting, however, the twenty one to forty year old group was just a tick behind at fifty seven percent.
Finally, it's the showdown of the skill levels. The advanced amateurs won this one, with a completion rate of seventy percent. The professionals and intermediates were nearly tied at sixty one and sixty percent respectively. Beginners clocked in at fifty four percent and the first time painters finished forty two percent of their models. There's still room for improvement there, but it's better than last year,
Overall, I think this year went really well, and just look at all these gorgeous horses!
Thank you to everyone who painted with me this year. Same time, same place next year?

Thank you so much for this event! It was fun and educational as ever! See you next year! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm really happy that I joined NaMoPaiMo this year (for the first time) and absolutely thrilled that I was able to complete my pony. It's given an unbelievably nice boost to my self-esteem.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jennifer, for continuing to host and promote this. I'll be back next year.
I was delighted when you signed up and *thrilled* when I saw your completed model on the stats page. Thank you for painting with us <3
DeleteSame time same bat channel!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Love to read the stats. Really appreciate the massive effort you and Ryan put into this event so we can all participate. It’s one of the most pleasant, cohesive and productive global experiences ever created. I’ve registered and completed twice. Hoping to bring a beginner friend with me next year.
