No kings, just dogs and people

Yesterday, millions of people took to the streets across the U.S. and the world for to protest the Trump administration and its policies at the the third No Kings mobilization.

Seth, Piper and I attended a local rally in Aurora, Colorado.
Ryan and Sarah were also in attendance.
Turnout was good,
the mood was optimistic...
and everyone - including the dogs - was well-behaved and friendly.
I always enjoy reading the signs.
This was mine.
Piper may be invisible at a zoo filled with dogs, but at the No Kings rally, she was a star.
She wore her signs proudly, and posed for lots of pictures.
I'm glad we took her.
I'm glad we went.
While I know it takes more than peaceful protest to effect real change, events like this are good for the soul. For a couple hours, the world felt a lot less terrible. It's not enough, but it's definitely something.

  3. I'm glad you and your family attended the rally!! I wish I could have attended the one in my state! (I feel like I was there spirit though!) I'm glad the rallies were peaceful!!
Wish they would have said something for these TSA people working without a paycheck though!!
Change usually starts with small steps!! That many people showing up has to let those in charge know that not all "we the people " are happy with their actions (or non). The best thing that could happen would be that "we" actually think about who it is that they're voting for and what they really stand for!!
OK-- I'm off of my political soapbox now!! Hah!

    1. Angelo's wife, Tori, is one of those TSA agents currently working without pay. In fact, she was at the airport while we were all demonstrating. In truth, if I had allowed myself to go there, I could have made one hundred signs. There are so many things that need to be changed.
