The white dogs cometh

On this day in 2008, my younger sister adopted a white dog named Bobo.

Despite his small size, Bobo was a big part of our family.
He died a little over four years ago.
We all miss him.
On this day in 2021, Seth and I welcomed a new white dog into our lives.
We'd met her the day before, but weren't allowed to bring her home until the next day.
Officially, I've always referred to April 5 as her Gotcha day, but an argument could be made for April 4.
Either way, it's clear that the first week of April is the best time to add a white dog to the family.
And that's exactly what happened - in an extended family kind of way - yesterday.
We're so happy to add you to the April White Dog pack!

    1. Right now, he's a California roadside foundling. Eventually age and Embark will tell us more.

  2. Is Tang the newest member of the family--or is he someone you're just pup sitting for??
He looks like some kinda Spitz breed! He's cute! Shiba Inu possibly?? Or Chow chow??
How's the girls handling a potential male member--'cause Piper has this "what the heck is this?" look on her face!! Heh!

    1. I’m guessing part Shiba based on head, ears, and tail. Or if not shiba another similar Japanese spitz breed (as there are several similar). Will be interesting to see embark results.

    2. For what it's worth, my phone consistently identified him as various Japanese breeds, mostly Akita. He looks Shiba to me, but I'm not an expert, especially with puppies that little.
