Barn raising

My big barn is a fixer upper, and I have spent the last two days fixing it. Yesterday was all about dis-assembly and repair.
I glued joints... 
and filled and sanded imperfections. 
Today, I painted.
Why oh why did I think this was a one day project?! 
Oh well, there's more snow in the forecast. Maybe I'll finish it tomorrow...

    Looks good so far. Now I'm tempted to disassemble and paint mine.

      Don't do it!!!!

      I have grown seriously weary of this job. I will probably feel differently when it's done, but right now I am wishing I had never started down this path. Ugh. So. Much. Painting.

      I don't have anywhere near the amount of time necessary to paint. I did spend far too much time on signs, though.

      I would have never painted this if the doors hadn't been such an ugly color. I do think it will be worth it in the end, but yeah, so tired of painting.

      Better or worse than making straw?

      I don't mind making straw, probably because I can do it a little bit at a time when watching tv.

    I really want to re do my barn too! I have the large Breyer one that needs some work! I want to put in the rustic bars like they have in heartland stables (the TV series) as I think that would look awesome! Yours looks amazing!

    All of this barn talk lately is making me want one so badly (again). I used to desperately want a Dakins barn when I was a kid/teenager. I don't think there's any way to get a barn over here. However... I have been thinking about building one. We do have a bunch of wood - and a laser... ;)

    This is the reason why I never finished my Barn-project. Now it´s a Barn-Body...and maybe he´ll always be..
