Talking tack with SBY

On Wednesday, I had the great pleasure of hosting a tack day with my friend, Susan Bensema Young.

As always, Sue brought a lot of tack. This year, however, she also brought most of her work bench. 

I love looking at another artist's tools. These chisels engrave metal...

and this is a parade saddle decorating set! 

 Some of the new-to-me tack pieces included this bosal by an unknown artist...

and saddles by Kirsteen Haley...

and Donna Allen.

I'm not familiar with Donna's work, so I took a lot of pictures of this one.

Sue also brought a number of horses including the now complete, Rinker.

This guy has been in progress for a long time. 

I'm so glad I got to see him in person!

What a glorious mess!
