One down

It's NAN month! The model horse hobby's biggest show will be held June 26 through 28 in Portland, Oregon. I still have a few NAN orders left to fill, but I am working hard and making steady progress. I just finished up this huntseat set for Erin Corbett today. Erin lives in Portland and she is planning to single handedly fill the English and Western Performance divisions at this year's NAN. I think she's nuts, but I am happy to enable her in her quest for "cookies". I am really pleased with the way this set turned out. I am going to have lunch and admire it a little bit longer, and then I will be right back at it starting Erin's second saddle set.

  1. It looks fantastic!! Yes - I am a tiny bit crazy, but I figured I should make the most of having NAN a ten minute drive from my house. I "cut down" to only five horses in OF and CM English, and nine in CM western!

  2. It may be the *best* kind of crazy, but it's *still* crazy! Nine horses in CM Western--is there any one class they're all entered in? Wouldn't that be cool if they all placed? :)

  4. Oh what fun! After judging my first live show last Saturday I am once again so pumped for performance, something I lost interest in years ago. I need some bridles though so when I go to BF I plan to hunt for tack. This set looks great just like your others. And in the small pic I saw I thought oh what fun it would be to have a decorator performance class! LOL. I am going to do that for my live show as a fun class ;).

  5. Eh, tacky smacky...who cares if you end up on tacky tack of the day, LOL. You know, some of us go look at that blog and think "oooo" :). I'm not saying who ;).

After I saw the larger photo I realized your horse was primed but still, what a fun idea. Or make a "make me LMAO" class with the most ridiculous set up one can make. See, that is the kind of show I like, LOL. Heck with stiff collar NAN! Hahaha.

The only decos I have are my Little Bird and her foal and a blue Stone Pony and RWB jumper. Last Saturday Evie gave each shower a little "gift" of two flocked black bears and another "treasure". Mine was a gold Barbie saddle! Just think what I can do with that!!

  7. Sorry but that loping horse is staying here! That guy was on the top of my "Most Wanted" list for a long time and I was so pleased when I was finally able to add one to my herd. Now if I could just find the right person to paint him... :)
