Still more walking

Last month, I signed up to participate in a forty one day Walking Challenge at work.

At first my goal was simply to finish in the Top Five.
When I got home, I was in second place. I realized that I might actually be able to win. I decided I really wanted to win.
I redoubled my efforts at home on the treadmill,
at the barn with Sage and...
around the neighborhood with Piper.
I even started going for walks during my lunch break at work instead of sitting the back and scrolling on my phone.
Who knew there was a pretty little trail so close to the store?
I have walked...
and walked...
and walked.
My efforts have paid off. With just over two weeks left to go, I am comfortably in first place.
Here are the actual step totals.
?
Walking this much is a commitment. It takes a lot of time to get to 27,000 steps.
While I’ve mostly enjoyed it, there are trade-offs. This blog is one of them.
Despite having plenty of things to write about, I just don't have enough hours in my day.
This may get worse before it gets better, but either way, the Walking Challenge ends October 5.
After that, I promise, things will get back to normal.

  1. Do what you wanna do!! I'm all for that. I appreciate the explanations. But, dear, normal is a gift that eludes us all too frequently.
