Although she's currently living in coastal Mississippi, Carol is a Colorado girl through and through. She misses our wintry winters and was thoroughly delighted when we woke up to snow on Friday morning.
I had to work that day - it was Black Friday, after all! - but there was just enough time to squeeze in a little barn trip first.
We decided to take Darcy with us. This was partly because she loves the snow, but mostly because she's Carol's favorite.
Darcy is a notorious barker, but she was so good - and relatively quiet - on Thanksgiving Day when we had a house full of people.
I thought maybe she would keep up the good work, but no. All those barks came flying out as soon as we got to the barn. Sorry, Olive.
The first order of business was walking Olive and taking lots of pictures of one another.
So many pictures!
Then we took Darcy into the ring for a little off leash play time.
Carol asked her to jump the little cross rail set up in the middle of the arena.I didn't think she'd do it, but she popped right over.
Then she did it again...
and again...
and again.
Good girl, Darcy! Bork! Bork! Bork!
Carol is back in Mississippi, where it's probably warm and lovely. I am a tiny bit jealous because it's still cold here. Mostly, however, I am thankful. Despite all the chaos beforehand, that was a pretty good Thanksgiving.

Sounds like a great visit with your friend. Love the photos in all your posts. Olive is looking good.
ReplyDeleteClearly borking is an element of levitation.
