Pony date with Jennifer Scott

Last Monday, Jennifer Scott came over to my house to play dress up with her newest sculpture, Stetson.

We got out my tack box and a selection of long maned Western performance models and spent an hour or two figuring out what worked and what didn't.
I'm happy to report that Stetson passed the performance friendly test. There were a few minor issues in regards to tack fit, but nothing that can't be easily corrected. Truly, performance showers are going to love him.
Once that was done, it was time to go see Olive.
Because I've been so busy, she hadn't been ridden in several days. I got on her first to knock off the rust. Then it was Jenn's turn.
She spent some time getting to know Olive at the walk.
Then she picked up the trot.
Olive was having a bad mouth day, which is not unusual for her when she's feeling a little bit anxious.
Instead of worrying about it, I told Jenn to just ride through it.
She did that, and it got better quickly.
Good girl, Olive!
And good riding, Jenn. It's such a treat to see my pony with a good rider aboard. I always learn things!
This was such a fun day. Thank you for driving down the mountain to see us, Jenn. Let's do it again soon!

    1. He's not available yet - his copy was just a test print - but I'm sure he'll be on the pricy side. Jenn is one of the hobby's most accomplished artists, and her work commands top dollar.

    2. I'm not going to be able to get one, sadly. He's-just-so- gorgeous!! She should get top dollar. The work and love that must have gone into Stetson... great name too. He'd make a great blue or strawberry roan☺️
