1:9 scale Christmas

I have a confession to make: Other than dressing my dogs...

and pony in ridiculous holiday outfits, I don't have a lot of interest in Christmas decorating.
Or perhaps I should say, I don't have a lot of interest in full scale Christmas decorating. 1:9 scale is a whole different story.
Earlier this week, I spent some time organizing my tub of tiny Christmas decorations. Here's a look at some of my favorite holiday trimmings.
This is the original Braymere Christmas tree. It's been replaced with a bigger, better version, but I haven't had the heart to throw this one away.
What's a Christmas tree without ornaments? Here are some ornaments, as well as some beads and findings that will eventually be ornaments.
Also, a selection of presents to go under the tree.
I've had these mass produced, craft store presents for decades. They aren't nearly as nice as the others, and I should probably get rid of them. I probably won't, but I should.
This one I did throw away. I don't need any more reminders of last spring's basement flood. Thank you very little.
Wrapping paper, bows and a pair of books.
More water damage. Sigh.
I have wreaths in a variety of sizes.
These little ones are actually earrings!
Three ugly Christmas sweaters.
Four stockings. I made three of them. The fourth came from a craft store.
And as is always the case, there were also a few unfinished projects in the tub. This one just needs straps. Maybe I'll finish it this weekend. We'll see.
Perhaps my favorite item is the "giant" reindeer. He's actually a full scale Christmas tree ornament, but he makes a fine stuffed animal in 1:9 scale.
I don't know why I like teeny tiny decorations so much more than their full sized counterparts, but I really do. I hope I can find some time to set up a stall and make some new holiday pictures.

  4. Your reindeer nose is the wrong color!! With the Christmas theme being "merry and bright ", might I suggest the color of RED to set off the holidays??!! Have a MERRY one!!
