Times are hard, and we're all doing whatever we can to get by.
For me, that's been clearing and cleaning my house.
For Karen, that's been buying horses. Not gonna lie, I like her way better.
The newest new horse arrived today.
She was supposed to arrive in the predawn light. We were there, but she was not.We reconvened a few hours later.
This time the trailer was right on time.
Good job, friend!
Karen was bouncing up and down with excitement. Finally, the doors opened.
The first horse we saw was definitely not Luna.
There were no less than ten horses on that trailer, and I think we saw all of them before we saw Luna.
The first glimpse.
There was another long way for everything to be rearranged so she could be unloaded. Here she comes.
So pretty!
Congratulations, Karen! It's a girl!
Luna said goodbye to her traveling companions.
Then Karen led her to her new stall.
She made herself right at home, looking every bit the calm, sensible, good minded horse she was advertised to be.
It's been a hard year, but today was a day worth celebrating.
I can't wait to see what lies ahead for Luna and Karen!

Such a pretty girl! She is a Cross of Friesian and?
ReplyDeleteShe's a Friesian/Vanner cross.
DeleteShe looks a bit like a Schwarzwälder Fuchs! Did Karen sell Kaffi? And what about this very pretty tobiano??
ReplyDeleteKirsten
Kaffi is here to stay. Sonnet is a nice horse, but not a good fit. She is for sale.
