Spread the wealth

When Anne Field discontinued her Miniatures Club, she also cancelled a whole bunch of people's monthly Ko-fi payments. That was, of course, the right thing to do, but even without the promise of four-times-a-year minis, I want to support her blogging endeavors.

After her most recent post, I did what I usually do for my favorite occasional hobby bloggers: I scrolled down to the Ko-fi link on her blog's sidebar,
clicked it...
and bought her a "coffee."
Like I said, this is something I do regularly. I love the longer, more considered format of blogging, and I am willing to do what I can to encourage my fellow wordsmiths to keep on writing.
Not so coincidentally, my blog also has a Ko-fi link on the sidebar.
I don't talk about it much. In fact, the word Ko-fi has not appeared on this space in more than two years. That doesn't mean, however, that I don't appreciate every single person who has bought me a "coffee" during that time. I can honestly that support has been key to the longevity of this blog. Without it, I have no doubt that one of my occasional slumps would have become permanent.
At this point in time, keeping this blog going is pretty much the only thing a Braymere Custom Saddlery Ko-fi membership does. I'd hoped provide a few more subscriber perks, but time and energy are always at a premium. The last members only raffle took place in 2023, and prior to yesterday, it had been a long time since I'd uploaded any additional content.
I am trying to do better, but no promises.
Ko-fi pages are surprisingly difficult to edit, so that misleading description remains. Thank you so, so, so much to everyone who has stayed onboard through everything - and nothing! I appreciate you more than words can say.
Everybody's finances are different, and I'm not here to tell you how to spend your money. However, if you enjoy reading blogs, please consider supporting them financially. I think I speak for all of when I say that all those coffees really do make a difference!

  1. I love your blog posts, even just about friends horses, your day, etc. I don't expect or need special offers or giveaways, I just like hearing about things you're doing and seeing all your beautiful pictures ❤️

  2. I've though several times about starting a ko-fi but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't really work (it's hard to ask people money). At this point, my fuel are to see people care about what I write, even a small comment is appreciated ;)
