Here's a project that makes my heart happy: a 1:9 scale Breyer store.
Created by Samantha Wiggin, this shop has everything.
In addition to models in multiple scales, there are books, barns, tack sets... and, well, everything!
All of it is removable and adjustable and as close to the real thing as Samantha could make it.
When I was younger, I dreamed of going to a store like this.
I'd still enjoy that now, but honestly, at this point in my life, I find the 1:9 scale version more appealing than its full size equivalent.
I'd love to browse those tiny shelves...and make my small selections.
Truthfully, I want one of everything, but especially the vintage offerings.
Which, not so coincidentally, were Samantha's next project.Look at all these tiny boxes!
This is the packaging of my youth.
I love these so much!
I can't wait to see the 1:9 scale vintage store.
Or perhaps it will be a BreyerFest Swap Meet table or perhaps a Clarion room?
Only time - and Samantha - will tell!
Congratulations and thank you, Samantha. Your commitment to this project is awe-inspiring, and the results are absolutely delightful. I can't wait to see what you shrink next!

That's a 1:9 scale thing?

ReplyDeleteI love this, EVERY detail! And now I’m dying for the back story… how each of these items was made!
ReplyDeleteAnd does Samantha have an Etsy store!!
this is delightful in every way
ReplyDeleteI love this! Yes the vintage boxes bring back so many memories; I can smell them.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing
Amazing! Are those paint and play offerings just 2D printouts or 3D scaled models in packaging? Man, how did she do all this?
ReplyDeleteThis is just wonderful, I LOVE all those boxes <3
ReplyDeleteAwesome!! Love this!!
ReplyDeleteLove this!
ReplyDeleteThere will be more boxes added. She does these from photos of the real boxes. I encourage my fellow box collectors to share with her photos of yours. I also encourage everyone to support Samantha as well. Even though I have the original, this size is irresistible
ReplyDeleteI can’t tell you how many times I have gone back and looked at this or shared it! ❤️
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing on here Jennifer! I can’t say how much it means for it to be on your blog! I’m amazed by how many people like it, it really just started out as a small project for myself. Then I happened to post it on Facebook and bam! Thousands of likes and hundreds of comments! I’m always blown away by how supportive this hobby is, thank you all!
ReplyDeleteI love this so much! There was a tack shop near where I took lessons when I was 8-10 years old. This shop had a huge selection of Breyers much like this mini diorama. My mom and I would swing by every once in a while when I'd saved my allowance for another Breyer. Spent hours in there!
ReplyDeleteSo well done, LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow! This is absolutely amazing.
