Hopeful

This week, this month, this year... It's been a lot. 

Because of this, it feels completely on brand that the run-up to my favorite holiday has been filled with complications. There have been cancelled and rerouted flights, sick kids, a broken minivan, covid... The list just goes on and on.

But yesterday Carol finally got here,

Olive was miraculously sound...

and I was gifted with a free, new-to-me saddle that actually fits her.

There's food in the oven, and the house is mostly clean. I can't be sure - it's still 2023 - but it just might be okay.
