I always like New Year's Day, but this year I like it even more than usual because 2014 is the Year of the Horse.
I celebrated the occasion with a short ride on my new lease horse.
Prior to today, no one but Deb had ever ridden Mystyc. Not surprisingly, we had a few awkward moments...

DeleteAnd, yes! I am going to have so much fun with her. After nearly a year on rough gaited Rev, her trot felt like a DREAM. I'd forgotten that horses could be that comfortable!
