Blank

I want to write.
Really, I do.
The problem is this:
I can't seem to think of a single thing to write about.
My mind... 
is as blank... 
as the eyes... 
of an unpainted resin!
So...  I'm open to suggestions. 
If you have any ideas, please post them the comment section. No promises, but at this point, I need all the help I can get!

    Tutorials on how to make the breastplates? I always struggle on the measurements when i made them.
    Christmas/holiday plans?
    Tutorials on how to take good tack sales photos? Angles, backgrounds, proximity, etc?
    Or just post photos of your dogs - everyone loves those!

    Hold a tack photo show! Everyone pays a few bucks, sends you photo(s) of tack they have made, and you pick a winner(s) and they get a halter or something?

    Once a week post photos of start up tack makers

    Just a few ideas, if I can think up some more I'll post them!

      Sorry, but there is NO WAY I'm going to have a tack raffle. I am a good two months behind schedule and struggling to get anything done. The last thing I want to do is add anything new to my work load!

    I know that a while ago you were going to show how to put on a saddle used for racing with all of the girths and I think that would be neat. I agree with the breastplate measurements too. What I really struggle with is covering items with skiver- panels, knee pads, etc. Another idea is a post showing some of your tack from other tack makers, that would be neat!

      Check out the English girth tutorial. There's a step in there that shows how I wet and stretch the skiver over the body of the girth. For all intents and purposes, this is how I cover every thing with skiver. There's no real secret to it.

    I have always been curious about the process of buying a custom horse. I've always thought I would someday like a model horse done to look like mine. Is that something people can do? What would the process be? (I'm not sure this is necessarily something you yourself can answer but I'm curious!)

    You could write about photo showing back in the day. For example... Do you still have Homar Wedan? ;-) Or do we want to talk about goofy names that we came up w/ for model horses?

    What about a thing on customizing... maybe like on eyes,coat,or mane and tail...Everyone wants too have customs as goods as yours one day...am I right?

    I like the idea of talking about the goofy names we sometimes give our horses. Or the strange ways we come up with names.
    Or if you want to post photos of blank resins, painted resins, your dogs, photos from shows past...I'll look at/read anything you post.

    How to take good pictures?
    Of course, pictures of Darcy (well, and her sister, but who can resist the cuteness of Darcy?)
    Maybe a tutorial on how to put on model scale saddles & bridles? I don't have any (nice) tack, only cheap Breyer tack that doesn't buckle on very realistically. I always thought it'd be difficult with all those tiny buckles and keepers, but I've never even seen someone put one on a plastic pony! Haha. It's always either on or off, never in-the-process of being put on. :)

    Showing tips, prop making, photo showing tips, how to tell what lead a model horse is on (as a non-rider/horse owner, I struggle with this) and how to best set up a performance set up based on the lead. Or just pics of your tack, models, and show set ups is just eye candy and fun to look at and drool over. Anything works for me.

    Who/what inspires you? How do you get ideas? Where do you get your materials, tools? How do you store everything? How do you know what (tools/materials) you have/need (are out of, new/improved) -- do you do it visually, by database/spreadsheet/paper-pencil? What would be your "ultimate" project? What new skill(s) have you learned in the last ? What do you want/plan to learn in the next ? Calculating prices (materials + time)?

    (All things I have been asked about my bead creations, which probably apply to you.)

    I am looking for model horses, ready for painting, but I just cant find them anywhere! I do paint, but I've always wanted to take up painting horse models, I've been stuck in and out of the house or hospital for the last 7 years battling with cancer and damage from the radiation, I am now in a wheelchair as it damaged my spine so this is something I want to do until or between when I get back to having my own horse, which will be soon. Do you have any idea's?

      The single best place to find model horses of any kind is Model Horse $ales Pages. There are always a wide variety of models listed there, including a lot of blank resins and affordably priced OF bodies. You may have to do a bit of prepping, but you should be able to find something that will suit your taste. Good luck!
