Still hurting

I had my surgery yesterday.
It usually takes four screws to repair a clavicle.  My injury required eight.  Obviously, I am an overachiever.
While it's a relief not being able to feel my bones move anymore, I am still in a great deal of pain.  In fact, I think today may be my worst day so far.  I am optimistic that things will turn around soon, but for now, I'm pretty miserable.  :(

  1. Lots and lots of very careful hugs. Take all the good drugs and let the boys take care of everything.

  2. I hope you feel better soon, 8 pins is a lot! Wish you a speedy recovery.

  3. Wow, that's a fair amount of pins, sounds like you did a very good job at breaking your collarbone! Hope your recovery is smooth and quick.

Loads of very very careful hugs to you

  4. Oh, no... I just asked you on FB if the pain was better so you can ignore that. Phooey. Gotta be better from here, hang in there!

  5. P.S. Why does that gown you're wearing have a paw print on it? Did you go into the VETERINARY hospital for surgery by accident? That's carrying the horse and dog-loving thing a bit too far.... ;-)

    1. That gown was the BOMB. It had its own healing/cooling system which was totally controlled by me. Awesome! I don't know what deal was with the pawprint. In my case, I think a hoofprint would have been more appropriate!

  6. Thanks for being awake enough to post. I'm thoroughly impressed by the Xray; overachiever is the word. Please take care! and don't worry.

  7. You are an overachiever so just a bit more to support what many of us already know.

  8. I hurt just thinking about what you are going through. More (very careful) hugs from the East coast, too!

  9. Oh, Jenn, what are we to do with you? All your models are probably wondering, "Where is Jenn? No one's here to admire me now!"

Eight screws, oh dear me; that seems very painful indeed! Sending happy thoughts your way!
