A midwinter night's champion

It's not easy winning a performance championship in Texas, so tackmaker, Vicky Norris, knew she had to bring her A-game to this weekend's A Midwinter Night's Ball show in Georgetown, Texas.  The weapons in her arsenal included a pair...
Morgen Kilbourn Maxixe resin, tack by Vicky Norris, doll by Joan Yount
of specialists...
Sarah Rose Independence resin painted by Sommer Prosser, tack by Vicky Norris
and two all-arounders.
Costume by Cary Nelson
The first of her multi-division horses was a Jennifer Scott First Impression resin painted by Sheryl Liesure.
She is shown here with tack and the diorama made by Vicky herself.  Joan Yount dressed the doll.
This mare had a good show...
but she was upstaged by Vicky's other all-arounder.
This is Bold Zippy Red, a new Scholarship resin sculpted by Kitty Cantrell and Carolyn Boydston and painted by Carolyn. His harness was made by me.
Here he is again in Western...
and English.
He wore a BCS tack set...
throughout the English division...
and it helped propel him...
all the way...
to the Overall Custom/Artist Resin Performance Championship.
Congratulations, Vicky, and thank you so much for allowing me to share your photos!
