The entire Buxton family is still recovering from yesterday's trauma drama. Right now Seth is napping in the basement, the kids are chilling with Sponge Bob,
and the dogs...
are holding down their respective beds.

Hope everything is ok, Jennifer! Lazy Sundays are wonderful things though!!! I've had one today, besides working on ponies and doing wash. No other commitments!

ReplyDeleteI *do* have some nice resins of both the painted and unpainted varieties. I should mention, though, that the Lone Star isn't mine. He belongs to a friend. I'm just prepping him and customizing the name.
ReplyDeleteThe thoroughbred resin in the back is Chances Are by Edwin Bogucki. He was the result of one of my earliest tack for resin trades. He used to be painted, but the finishwork wasn't very good so I decided to strip him. Then I thought maybe he'd look better with bigger feet and a braided mane. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to match the texture once the old mane was removed (now I'd use messo for that!) so I went ahead and removed all the texture from his body. Ugh. Anyway, he ended up without much sculptural detail. I sent him to a painter but he came back unpainted. He's truly a problem child!
I'd like to go back and re-detail him someday, but I'm not sure my skills are up to the task. Yet.
Lazy days are definitely the best- sometimes you just need a day to wind down inbetween all the hectic goings on of life.

ReplyDeletewow 0.0 I went to the revolve tour this saterday in the snow had to buy a $50.00 pare of boots (cause I had water up to my ankles in my boots) and then thinking that are day had went pretty well, my friend had a alergic reaction at like 8:00 at night so to the ER we go! did not get back to the church we were staying at tell 1:00 in the morning, oh well alls well that ends well! hope your day went better than ares!
Love a good lazy sunday!! The worst part to them is the thought of school the next day!!!

Tack friendliness will make a great article when you get around to it. Every now and then I go stare at the People's Plastic Horse Liberation Army (as le boyfriend calls the collection) to try and come up with new performance ideas, but so often I'm brought up short by an errant forelock or wisp of mane.
