Eight days ago, the Chronicle of the Horse published a story about equine jock straps.

Long used by harness racers, this specialty tack item has now found its way into the international jumper ring thanks to Katharina Offel's mount, Quebracho Semilly.

For reasons I will never understand, certain people in the model horse hobby saw this article and thought of me.
At first it was kind of funny...
but it quickly became annoying.
By the time I went to bed, I was hoping to never hear the words "equine jock strap" again.
Then I woke up the next morning and decided I had to make an equine jock strap.
Sometimes it's like that.
Behold:  the world's first 1:9 scale equine jock strap..
I know you're probably wishing this baby belonged to you, but sorry.  It's now property of Erin Corbett.  Merry Christmas, Erin!  I expect to see that in the ring at Breyerfest Live!

  1. LOL--you knew it had to be done once that story was out.

  2. This makes me so happy. I was SO surprised!!

  3. um wow! lol ya learn something new every day...

  4. And we want to see it in the ring, right here on the Braymere blog!! :)

  5. I think it's really cool that you made it!

  6. *blink blink*
well, you learn something new everyday. :)

  7. Lol. I'm pretty sure this is as close as you can get to a horse thong... for males...

  8. If it makes you feel any better, a bunch of people on Blab were saying Char should make one. :)

You did a gòd job on it and I'm so glad I'm not a show jumping stallion. Yikes!

  9. Hazel doesn't have much to support... I look forward to seeing it on one of Erin's stallion!
