Jo and Jade's DUN pictures

How long does it take to become really good at showing performance?
If you're the mother/daughter team of Jo and Jade Baker, the answer is approximately two years or three live shows.
Jo and Jade discovered the model horse hobby in 2013 when they started carrying Breyers at their store, Dee-Amber Rural Supplies.
As so often happens, their personal model horse collection quickly expanded to include Stones...
and resins,
as well as an impressive amount of performance extras, such as dolls,
tack...
and props.
Jo writes: We are totally hooked on performance! Both Jade and I are English riders and had never in our life cinched a western saddle, let alone one so small. We have researched and researched to make sure that we had the tack correct for the class.  Our results reflect the knowledge and support that is available in the model horse hobby. We could never have achieved these results without the guidance and support of so many people!
Recently, Jo and Jade attended the Down Under National Show, which is Australia's premier model horse competition. They came home with an impressive number of Grand and Reserve National Champions, some of which are shown here.
I'd like to congratulate Jo and Jade for all well deserved wins. Thank you so much for allowing me to share your photos!

  1. Love it! Congrats ladies, and thanks for sharing your photos. Love seeing that the steeplechase jump we made is still doing so well!

  2. Love seeing the little spotted pony in the last picture. I sold her to jade as a sneaky birthday surprise for her mum!
