Kellye's Criollo set

The first finished tack order of 2013 is done and in the hands of the United States Postal Service.
Here's a look at all the individual pieces...
and a close-up view of the saddle and overgirth.
Although I really struggled in the early stages of this saddle's creation, I couldn't be more pleased with the final results.  In fact, now I really want to buy a Max and make a Criollo saddle for myself!

  2. Absolutely stunning! I was wondering what you used for the sheepskin cover - was it real sheepskin or a faux/fake equivalent? Ta :)

    1. It's real lambswool. Tiffany sent me part of a lambswool hide a couple years back, and I've really enjoyed having it. It's delightfully in scale and works like leather rather than fabric.

  3. I looooooove Gaucho tack. So over the top and yet sort of primitive in construction. Someday, I'd like to get one like this (real and model size... matching) :http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2737/4330948837_c2b7c62d02_m.jpg
