It's been a long time since I've allowed myself to devote an entire studio day to customizing, but that rough Roundie was just too tempting to ignore. I've spent a happy afternoon sanding seams and filling holes. He looks and stands much better now, and I'm relatively certain I could have him fully prepped by the end of the week.
However, a thought occurred to me while I was prepping him, and now I can't seem to let it go. You see, I don't really collect classic sized models. For various reasons, I was willing to make an exception for Roundie, but maybe I don't have to. After all, he is just the right size for my pony rider doll...What if Roundabout turned into Roundapony?
Ok, I know my photoshopping skills are not the best and the mane should probably go on the other side. Those things aside, what do you think? Would this work?

Oh, yes! I second some other model horse people out there. He just doesn't appeal to me.
ReplyDeleteHe looks better with a mane, forelock, and improved tail. The feathers would add just the right touch to the model. Excellent!
I don't do hair so asking for my input is crazy :)
ReplyDeleteI agree, he could be a cute, round pony with wafting forelock, mane and tail! I can imagine that he'll look perfect with your young rider girl and your smart tack! Best wishes, Doreen from Germany
ReplyDeleteI like your idea!! He'd make a really nice pony!
ReplyDeleteSooo cute! I love the feathers :)
ReplyDeleteYes, the photoshop feathers are particularly awesome.
