Saturdays aren't usually "wordless" but I find it hard to narrate NAN photos when I didn't actually go to NAN!
These pictures were taken by Heather Moreton Abounader during the Custom/Resin Performance day at this year's event. I always believe in giving credit where credit is due, so I've included owner/tackmaker/propmaker information to the best of my abilities. Further information is always welcome. If you are responsible for any part of one of these lovely entries, please let us know!

Heather always takes wonderful photos! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteArtistic Rhythem's tack is done by Bobbie Devine, his doll is my Kris Gallagher, the flowers in his setup are by Kris as well, can't remember who did the dressage rail...probably Kris, too.
ReplyDeleteThe Appaloosa Cleveland Bay is mine as well. His jump is by me, his doll is Kris Gallagher, his saddle/breast collar are Bobbi Devine, and his bridle was by Didi Hornberger. The horse is customized and repainted by Bev Manderfeld, his name is Stardust.
Erm, are you sure about Bobbi Devine making the dressage winner's saddle? I made a saddle very similar to that for Kris Gallagher so she could make the doll to fit it. I don't wish to be snarky or anything but I would love to know if one of my saddles got a NAN championship!
ReplyDeleteI own Harpo and Dun in Pastels, and was tickled to see them!
ReplyDeleteHarpo's tack is by Susan Dolittle, his doll is Cari Chaney and the jump is Wilshire Miniatures.
Dun's tack is a Kistler set, made for him! The doll is also a Chaney, and the jump is by Robin Briscoe. It's not obvious in that photo, but his reference material is from your blog!
I love, love, LOVE the Tiffany's themed jump!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and commenting on these photos Jennifer! I adore sharing them with you!

ReplyDeleteI was told Bobbie by Kris when she gave me the rundown on the set. I can double-check, I'm sure it was just a mistake if that's the case. I purchased the set and horse from Kris and I've seen the inside of her tack box, she has crazy amounts of tack, it's possible she just remembered incorrectly (or perhaps she was referring to the bridle and I mistakenly thought she meant the whole set). I'll ask her again for you. :) I know how exciting it is to see your tack get a NAN champ (mine took two for me on OF day this year...first time ever!) and I would never, ever want to deny that excitement to another tackmaker.
The Tiffany's jump was built by its owner, Beth Rappleyea
ReplyDeleteThe pony jumping the John Deere fence is Flying Colors, cm'd by Mary Butler. Tack and props also by Mary Butler. This pony won a Top Ten in English Trail.
ReplyDeleteThe Arab with the John Deere mailbox is Annatar, cm'd by Sherri Rhodes, Tack by Corrine Ensor, props by Mary Butler.
Sorry, the Arab's saddle was made by Mary Butler, bridle by Corrine Ensor

ReplyDeleteAre these setups evaluated on the quality of jumps, as well as the horses and riders? They are AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteThank you, everyone, for all the newinformation. I've updated the post accordingly.
ReplyDeleteDrSteggy--I know this is pretty dorky, but I am just as happy to see my reference material on the show table at NAN as I am to see my tack. Thanks for letting me know it was there!
:)
ugh, i love my darling clementine, is that a resin or an original sculpture?
ReplyDeleteI *think* that's a customized Breyer traditional Ruffian. It's possible I'm wrong about the base mold, but she's definitely a custom.
Deleteawwww, if that was a resin i would buy one.
ReplyDeleteIt kind of reminds me of a "Kitty did it" resin.
ReplyDeleteIt amazes me how realistic some things are!

I always love seeing the jumping models, but My Darling Clementine is just gorgeous and a lovely hunter! Does anyone know who customized/painted her?
ReplyDeleteI made the hunter jump with the white gate and gray standards! Never knew it was shown at NAN!
