Real life intrudes

I am working on a real post for later today, but I wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who has inquired about my family in the wake of this morning's tragedy in Aurora, Colorado.
My family is fine and we do not know anyone directly affected by the shooting.  However, the Century 16 theater is less than two miles from my house.  It's our neighborhood theater, and as such we are beginning to discover connections between ourselves and the victims.  One of the casualties was the friend of my best friend's daughter.  Another was a friend of one of Ryan's robot club teammates.  My heart breaks for my community.

  1. A news that have reached globally and is the headlines in Sweden as well. My thoughts are with the families and close ones of the victims of this obviously not sane person.

    VERY potent image as well.

  7. It was (and still is) all over our news here, too. Even if you live so far away, I and all the people around that I talked to are shocked and feel for the victims and their families.

  9. Oh, dear... I'm afraid I didn't realize you lived in Aurora! Don't know how I missed that, but thank God you are all okay. It is hard to wrap one's mind around this. Prayers to all who have been affected.
