Too many horses

I started collecting model horses almost forty years ago.
Now my house looks like this...
and this...
 and this...
and this
Sigh.  I have a new horse headed my way, and I don't know where I'm going to put him.  I think it's time to rehome some horses...

  1. Oh well, everyone runs out of space eventually.
I hope the ones you sell go to good homes.

  5. Let me clarify... "Rehome" does not mean "sell the showstring." Instead, it refers to clearing out the old, common OF models to which I have no emotional attachment. Honestly, the horses I want to get rid of are probably the ones that no one else wants. What I really need is to find a ten year old horse crazy girl who needs a sponsor!

  6. In following the logic your mother had, I might be able to home a couple of well loved models of the sturdy variety. At this point, Russell still likes horses

  7. I love unwanted horses! My real horse likes to take all my model horse money!

  8. Your house looks like mine! There's always room for one more. Luckily the hubby doesn't complain about the model horses I bring home. He only complains about the real horses I keep bringing home instead. Wait until I bring the rest of my model "herd" home, then he'll have a suprise.

  9. Hmmm. There is a solution actually. It'll take a few hours but it might just do the trick! I don't think it is a case of overcrowding really... I think you simply need to re-organize them! Size and material. resins on one section, plastic OFs, dinky ones etc. I bet you'd find A LOT of space then.

They're all precious and beautiful so why have it higgeltypiggelty! Get them lined up and sorted and you'll see how much space you actually have! Good luck!!... :-)

  11. My sisters (7,10&13) would LOVE to have some re-homed Breyers to love and play with! They have some of my old ones but they are always looking to expand their herd!
