Horse Expo

Colorado weather is always changeable and never more so than in the spring.  Yesterday's snow storm kept me close to home, but today the sun came out, and I was able to meet my friends, Teresa and Fabian, for a fun day at the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo.
As usual, there were all kinds of saddles on display--Western saddles,
English saddles,
pack saddles,
even Gaucho saddles!
There was also a nice selection of other tack items.  I liked this bitless bridle...
while Fabian was partial to the pistol bit.
Horsey gift items were everywhere.
I love this onesie...
but I'm not so sure about the bar stool.
Several booths had Breyers for sale.
This mini was for sale, too.
Eventually, we left the trade show and headed over to the Event Center.  There we spent a little time listening to one of the speakers...
but mostly we wandered the barns.
We met equines of all shapes,
sizes,
and breeds.
My favorite was this badger faced mare.
 So pretty...
and so unique!
There's no better way to spend a day than with friends and horses.  Thanks for going to the Expo with me, Teresa and Fabian.  I had a wonderful time!

  1. Neat! My favorite is defiantly the Fjord but the badger faced horse is pretty cool! :)

  2. That dressage saddle interested me big time. Not that I need another one.

Had lots of fun today, much better than yesterday's boredom and snow :)

  5. Am I the only one fascinated/weirded out by how it looks like the horse head modeling the bitless bridle is floating in space? =)

  6. What's the manufacturer on the dressage saddle?

  7. I have never seen nor heard of "badger-faced" before, but I certainly see why that horse would be called that! Fascinating. The little hairy pony is adorable. But that grey horse bar stool - ewwwwwwl... *dislike* Looks like a horse was chopped to make it and that's far too disturbing.

Glad you had such a good time, I would love that, too!
