Polo

Near the top of my tackmaking bucket list is a full set of polo tack.
Just look at all those straps...
It's like having an entire tack shop on one horse!
Today's photos are courtesy of Heather Moreton, a fellow tackmaker who is as good with a camera as she is with leather and silver.
 Thanks again, Heather!

  1. You know, there is polo around Denver. I just don't think the tickets are in any way reasonable for those of us who just wanna go watch a game or a part of one!

However, if there is, I would go with you!

  2. I have a lovely, huge exlibrary book FULL of polo photos. "Pimm's Book of Polo" is one I've kept around because someday...SOMEDAY I will make a full polo set, even if it kills me. It just might.

  3. Teresa--CSU used to have an indoor polo team. No idea if they still do, but it might be worth checking into.

Anna--All those straps in stablemate scale? If anyone can pull it off, you're the one, but still... Are you crazy!?!

  4. CSU still has an indoor polo team- I played on it up until last year. The varsity team usually travels for games, but usually does at least one home exhibition game a year, plus JV has competitions pretty regularly.

  5. Jennifer, the place where Twist boards is also the home of the Denver Polo team. The managers play and polo stuff has been allover the office. I'm sure we can find some there if you need more reference pics and I can check with Marianne about the matches and if spectators are allowed..
