Look what I just found! It's a picture of a saddle I made way back in 2003.I can't be certain, but I think this was English saddle number three and the first to feature a padded flap.
I dunno. I guess it's not completely horrible, but I think I've come a long way in the last seven years!
I agree with "Anonymous"! There's hope for those of us just starting into the English saddle department :). Question for you - do you use a pounce wheel for your stitch marking or make marks by hand?
I should post a picture of the first *Western* saddle I ever made. It is seriously cringe-worthy. Trust me, if I can learn to do this stuff, anyone can!
The angle on the first picture made me think at first glance it was a racing saddle =D

Sometimes it seems like your stuff is so perfect, it's nice to know you didn't start out that way, gives me hope for my own skills!
