Blast from the past
Look what I just found! It's a picture of a saddle I made way back in 2003.
I can't be certain, but I think this was English saddle number three and the first to feature a padded flap.
I dunno. I guess it's not completely horrible, but I think I've come a long way in the last seven years!

The angle on the first picture made me think at first glance it was a racing saddle =D

Sometimes it seems like your stuff is so perfect, it's nice to know you didn't start out that way, gives me hope for my own skills!
ReplyDeleteI agree with "Anonymous"! There's hope for those of us just starting into the English saddle department :). Question for you - do you use a pounce wheel for your stitch marking or make marks by hand?
ReplyDeleteI should post a picture of the first *Western* saddle I ever made. It is seriously cringe-worthy. Trust me, if I can learn to do this stuff, anyone can!
