April foolery

Remember Basil?
She is still trying to decide which performance event she likes best.   Today she gave barrel racing a try.
Woo hoo--look at that speed!
Unfortunately, Basil is no longer a young rat.  After a few spins around the barrels, she was ready for a much quieter event--like Western Pleasure.
Right from the start, it was obvious that Basil has finally found her niche.
Just look at her go...
She's a natural born peanut roller!
Happy April Fool's Day!

  5. WooHoo, go Basil!!! She's faster than my APHA/TB at barrel racing.

Did anyone ever consider doing rat showing in miniature tack, like we do with our models? That would be so cute, and Basil would win every class!

  6. Gosh Jennifer, I bet you had to tie her to the rafters for hours and use all sorts of other artificial aids to get her head set like that!

  7. No rafters, no draw reins, no nothing. Basil's Western Pleasure headset is 100% natural!

(ok, it's entirely possibly there was a little drop of honey on the peanut, but it was NATURAL honey so that doesn't count!)
