Seth's funny colored horse

My husband and I have a lot in common but that does not include our hobbies. I like to make tack, take my dogs to the dog park and go riding. He likes to golf in the summer, ski in the winter and work on his car all year round. We both like to talk, though, so over the course of the last fourteen years we've learned a lot about each other's passions. He's certainly not an expert on all things equine, but he knows a fair bit more than the average man on the street.

One of Seth's best friends lives in Elizabeth, Colorado which is about forty miles south and east of here. Seth visits Andrew several times a month to work on cars and hang out. Most of the drive is rural, and lately Seth has been telling me about this "funny colored horse" that lives along the way. He has alternately described the horse as both "light colored" and "sort of like a Weimeraner." That's not a lot to go on, but I've been guessing that it's maybe some sort of champagne.

He saw the horse again yesterday and this time he took a picture. I'm sorry to say this, but I'm a little disappointed. It looks like a palomino! I know Seth has seen palominos before. I'm not sure why this one got classified as funny colored.

Of course, it's hard to tell from one small, camera phone picture. Maybe the color looks different in person... Ah well, the mystery lives on! I suppose I'll have to ride along one day and see it with my own eyes.
