It's hard to be an ambitious beginner. The gap between what you want to create and what you actually have the skills to create can seem crushingly insurmountable.
The solution, of course, is to keep practicing. Here's Chris Jolly's first ever custom, created in 1992.
Compare that to this Lord of the Ring resin, which Chris painted earlier this month. Same color, same painter and thirty years of practicing.I love it when accomplished artists share their early works, but that's not the only reason Chris is today's NaMoPaiMo Champion of the Day.
This year she chose to paint a palomino, which is a color she's struggled with in the past. She struggled with it this month, too, but she kept on going and look how great it turned out.
