NaMoPaiMo day nineteen

It's the nineteenth day of NaMoPaiMo. There are eighty six horses in the winner circle.
In the words of Heather Strumolo, the rest of us are "getting there like a herd of turtles."
Kim Brandner writes: What did I do to myself when I decided to paint stripes only with pastels on a model? This takes me forever.
Christine Jordan is painting endless whites,
Melanie Miller is painting endless blacks...
and Karin Hullatti is experiencing a dapplesplosion.
I am plugging away at my pony. Progress is real, but slow.
Like a herd of turtles.
With less than ten days to go, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and discouraged. Because of this, I really appreciate cheerful and supportive people like today's NaMoPaiMo Champion of the Day, Sue Rowe.
Sue has been one of NaMoPaiMo's most enthusiastic supporters since the event's inception in 2017. She's always there with a kind word and reminding people that there's still plenty of time, even when we're painting like a herd of turtles. Oh, yeah. She's also a darned good painter.
Congratulations, Sue and good job to everyone who worked on their models today, no matter how slowly. I can't wait to see what we all do tomorrow!
