Giraffe day

I realize that giraffes aren't horses, but today is World Giraffe Day and I'm sitting on a pile of giraffe photos so...

    Love the photos!!! ^.^ But... Boy could I have used them when I was sculpting the baby giraffe for the Customs Contest a couple of years ago! Lol! Regardless... they may well come in handy if & when I decide to CMize her a momma!! <3

    My favorite giraffe fact is that they sleep curled up with their head on their hip, like cats and dogs do. You'd think that it would make their neck stiff in the morning.

    Do you know about "giraffe's patchs" coat (is it right name for the horse color? I'm not good in Englisch, especially in horse vocabulary)
    Horses with giraffe's patchs (other names: marble, inverted dapple - translation is mine) are really beautiful.

    When I was a kid I, too, fed these very giraffes... I had a cracker thing for weeks afterwards...

    I love giraffes! I've never been able to feed one, someday... A dream of mine is to stay at the Giraffe Manor in Kenya and have breakfast with the giraffes. :)
