Saddle pups

The puppies went home today.

Before they left, we broke out the saddles for one final photo shoot.
Because, you know, at ten...
and thirteen pounds respectively...
they really aren't that much bigger than the rats!

    Awww!! They're so cute! And the saddles actually kinda fit them! I hope Darcy doesn't miss them too much.

    Well, it would have been a lot more fun if the little girl pup hadn't come into heat... We all ended up learning a LOT more about canine reproduction than we really wanted to know, but that's the breaks. I think it's a toss-up as to who misses them most--Darcy or the kids.

    I can't believe you put those saddles so close to their mouths! They would just be like tough beef jerky to a JRT. I did love seeing how cute they looked tacked up!
