Hair... everywhere!

I like spring.

I like spring's warmer temperatures and longer days. I like the sight of green grass in my yard and flowers in my garden. I welcome the beginning of show season--both real and model. Spring makes me feel happy and optimistic. It is, perhaps, my favorite season.

No season is perfect, however. There are a few things I do not like about spring. One is the mud. Another is the hair.

Oh, the hair! It is unending. No matter how much you brush...
and curry your critters...
the hair just keeps on coming.
Oh, the hair is everywhere!
P.S. This is the Braymere blog's five hundredth post. Thanks to everyone who makes Braymere Custom Saddlery a part of their day!

  1. (sorry about the double post, hit "send" too soon!)

    Yay for 500 posts! :D

Oh, yes. Hair. We used to have two cats and a Samoyed in the house so I know alllll about hair. ;) In fact I once used Allie's undercoat to stuff a harness collar.

I furminatored the two big dogs yesterday and it's a good thing there was enough wind to blow it all away or i may have suffocated! Bleah!

As for the hair, I know it too much (I own an Icelandic horse). His hairs are 3 inches long : /

  5. Congrats on the 500 :)

Flick seems to be shedding the most violently of all the horses at the barn. When I'm done with the shedding blade, it looks like I've body clipped him...white and red AlL OVER.

  6. Get a furminator. Guaranteed you won't be disappointed for dogs or cats either.

  7. I like how your son's "forelock" and the horse's seem to be THE SAME COLOR!

I personally like to read your blog, and check it every day! Thanks so much!

  8. I was just about to say FURMINATOR, but someone already mentioned that. Yes, they have them for horses. I finally bought one for my shepherd/husky coated dog. IT IS AMAZING! Takes only the undercoat, and leaves the top coat perfectly smooth. Also works three times as fast as any other tool I've ever used to deshed with. A worthy investment!
