Worrying

If you check this space often, you may have noticed that I haven't been myself lately. First I stopped blogging about tack making, and lately I've begun missing days. There is a reason for this. About two weeks ago, my husband was told that his job was going to cease to exist. Monday is his last day, and although everyone keeps telling us not to worry, that is pretty much all I've been doing.

There are reasons to be optimistic. Seth is a data base administrator and that's a pretty good job to have even in a recession. If the number of recruiters calling the house is any indication, there are a lot of good employment opportunities available for someone with his resume. This last job wasn't really a good fit for him, and I wouldn't be surprised if we look back at this someday and say it was the best thing that could have happened.

I'm not there yet, though. Instead, I'm stuck in this unhappy, unemployment limbo which has left me feeling overwhelmed, exhausted and completely without creative energy. Hopefully this won't last long, but things may be kind of quiet around here in the meantime.
