Pictures from Lone Star Live

Thankfully, not everyone had as bad a weekend as I did. Kellye Bussey sent along these pictures from the big Lone Star Live show in Fort Worth, Texas, and it's obvious that her weekend was both fun and successful. This is Zapetero who is a custom Salinero by Tom Bainbridge. He won the Custom/Resin dressage class in his BCS saddle and Corinne Ensor bridle. You probably remember Sol Brilliante who was featured here earlier this month. He came in second in the Custom/Resin Saddleseat class.
It turns out that the wheeled contraption I made for Kellye last fall has a real name. It's called a "carretton" which means bull cart. This picture shows Lorenzo and the carretton winning another NAN card.
Lion in Winter won a large and competitive OF Showmanship class in his BCS stallion tack.
Illusionist borrowed Zapetero's tack for the OF Dressage class and did nearly as well as his "brother". This model is from the Breyer Elegance set, and he is lovely. I would have never guessed this is a factory paint job--good work, Breyer!
One last picture from the OF Other Performance class. I wonder how long it will be before the Texas judges get tired of looking at that carretton?
Congrats to Kellye for another successful show and big thanks for sharing the photos!
