Today we said goodbye to Mikey.
Mikey was a little old man Morgan, who I rode semi-regularly in 2019 and 2020.
He's been in decline for a while, so his death wasn't shocking or sudden like it was with Lucy and Stealth.
Still, it's been a sad day.
My heart breaks for Mikey's family.
I will miss his sweet face and teeny tiny ears.

😔 I’m so sorry, for you and Mikey’s family and everyone else who loved him. He was adorable and obviously a great sport about doing whatever was asked of him. Those little ears were so cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry. This year has been a bad year in the way of saying goodbyes. (Not counting in Olive when I say it's been a bad year ;)). He is such a beautiful horse. He will never not be beautiful. I wish him Godspeed. May he graze on the same ambrosia that Lucy and Stealth are grazing on.
ReplyDeleteI am really sorry for you. We had to say goodbye to our 37 year old mare resently. Knowing the day is coming never makes it any easier.
