The giving tree

Not going to lie: I was super annoyed about putting up the store Christmas tree before Halloween.

Now that it's actually December, I am feeling a lot more kindly about the holiday decorations.
I actually squeed when I unpacked this guy.
So good.
And it's entirely possible that one of those Christmas halters and saddle pads followed me home. Heh.
The tree itself is more than just a decoration. It's a Giving Tree.

The ornaments are a wish list for three of our local horse rescues.
Every time I make a purchase, I also buy a small item for one of the rescues.
The donated items are marked with the appropriate rescue's name and go under the tree.
Every time I go into work, the pile is a little bit bigger. I can't wait to see what it will look like on Christmas Eve. As much as I love that beautiful Christmas Breyer, this is the best holiday item in the store

  1. Your store's Giving Tree is a great idea! Next time I'm in the area of our local(ish) Dover, I'll stop and see if it, too, has a Giving Tree.

    1. I know a lot of the Dover stores have similar trees. It's such a nice way to make it easy for people to help out.

  2. Is there a way you could pull an ornament for me? I could PayPal you the money for the item - would love to help. PM me via FB if so.
